Revolutionising the Events Industry
Ably demonstrated by the famous "Hall of Fame" wall where flattering images of the all time Northern greats of Gallowglass are recorded for posterity.
Jon Scales

We started to develop a northern crew back in 2000, but a couple of years on, the Commonwealth Games presented us with the opportunity for a substantial leap in profile and growth.

A fantastic performance from Gallowglass at the games back then laid the foundation for our Northern operation which has gone from strength to strength.

The latest mammoth task
for Northern boss Jon Scales and his men was to transform the Manchester Evening News Arena - the world’s busiest concert venue – into an international-sized swimming facility.

From 9-13 April, the Arena was playing host to the
9th FINA World Swimming Championships .

Two pools had to be installed for the event: the main
25 x 25 x 2m competition pool and a secondary pool
where the athletes warmed up prior to the race.

A first for us and a heavy duty job right down to the de-rig where our contract stipulated that the arena had to be restored for normal use in five days because Celine Dion was due to perform immediately after that.

We completed in just three days, with 90 crew members working on-site.

Now located at The Pie Factory in Salford, the Gallowglass Northern office is ideally placed to service all our clients in the North of England.

They are a friendly but competitive bunch led by the
ex Bradford Bulls regional manager.

A few of them have a gentle and artistic side too.
